Import links from cutt.ly to cutty
The names look alike, but they're two different services. If you're after a shortener without ads or tracking, moving your links from cutt.ly takes a few minutes.
How it works
- In the cutt.ly panel, export your links to a CSV file. This feature is available from the Single plan up — cutt.ly doesn't offer it on the Free and Starter plans.
- Create a free account on cutty.dev.
- In the cutty panel, click + import links from another shortener, choose cutt.ly and upload the file in the CSV file tab.
- We recognize the destination URL, short link and title columns automatically. At the end you'll see an import summary.
Don't have a CSV export?
cutt.ly doesn't expose a link list via API, so without an export you'll need to collect the URLs yourself. A simple file with a single url column is enough, or a list in the format url, slug, tags — one link per row.
What comes over, and what stays
- Comes over: destination URL, slug and title, plus the tag
cuttly. - Stays in cutt.ly: the domain and stats. Old short links keep working as long as cutt.ly keeps them online.
cutty.dev in short

Frequently asked questions
Will my old cutt.ly short links stop working?
No. The import copies destination URLs, slugs and tags into your cutty account, and your cutt.ly account is left untouched. Old short links keep working for as long as cutt.ly keeps them online. You can start pointing new links to cutty.dev right away.
Will I keep my slugs?
Yes, if that slug is free on cutty.dev and is 3 to 40 characters (letters, digits, _ and -). Taken or invalid slugs get a new, random one — after the import you'll see how many.
What happens to my API key?
We use it only for this one-time link fetch. We don't store it in our database and it never reaches our logs. Prefer not to share it at all? A CSV export works just as well.
Links without tracking, hosted in the EU
cutty doesn't use ad pixels or tracking cookies. You get analytics, QR codes, tags, an API and an MCP server — on the free plan.
