Short

cutty.dev is a free URL shortener. You can create short links, nobody asks why. However, there are a few things you cannot do (mainly: links to illegal content or harming people). The rest is standard terms of service.

1. What is cutty.dev

An online service at cutty.dev, which allows creating short links (endings in the style of cutty.dev/abc) redirecting to URLs provided by the user. You can use it anonymously (limit 30 links/hour/IP) or with a logged-in account (limit 120/hour, access to dashboard, statistics, editing).

2. Usage rules — what you CANNOT do

Links in cutty.dev cannot lead to:

• illegal content in Poland (CSAM, terrorism, human trafficking)
• malicious software, exploits, phishing, scams
• pages infringing third-party copyrights
• content inciting violence or discrimination
• spam (mass sending without recipient consent)
• illegal bypassing of security or geographic blocks of third parties

Consequence: the link is permanently blocked; in serious cases — account blocking and reporting to the relevant authorities.

3. User account

• You can create an account via email/PIN, Google or Facebook
• One account per person, do not share passwords
• You are responsible for everything that happens with your account
• We can suspend the account without warning for serious violations of the terms
• Account deletion — request to [email protected], processed within 30 days

4. Free plan

• No limits on the number of links, clicks or account existence time
• All features available: password protection, QR codes, OG preview, automatic UTM
• Request limits: 30/hour/IP (anonymous) or 120/hour (logged in)
• The plan will remain free up to 1000 users / 100,000 links. Above this threshold, we will introduce the Pro plan with 30-day notice to current users; existing accounts will retain free access to their existing links.

5. Endpoint policy

• Endpoints are generated automatically (3+ characters, base62). Custom endpoints: 3–40 characters, alphanumeric plus _ and -
• The endpoint NEVER returns to the pool — even after deleting your link, it remains permanently blocked to maintain the promise of permanence
• Reserved words (api, login, admin, etc.) are unavailable
• Profanities and some 3-character sequences are rejected

6. Availability and SLA

Best-effort. We host on our own server in Poland, via Cloudflare CDN. Information about planned outages and incidents is published on esej.space. No SLA guarantees. In case of prolonged unavailability — direct access to data via email contact.

7. Your content

By creating a link, you declare that you have the right to direct traffic to the provided URL and that the URL content does not violate this terms of service. It does not become our property — it remains yours, we only keep the endpoint → URL association.

8. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "AS IS". We are not responsible for:

• content of pages you link to (these are your URLs)
• data loss due to force majeure, hardware failure, attacks
• indirect damages (lost profits, data, reputation)

Maximum liability = amount paid for the service in the last 12 months (in the free plan: 0 zł).

9. Terms of service changes

We can change the terms of service. Significant changes will be announced by email to logged-in users 30 days before taking effect. If you disagree — delete your account.

10. Governing law

Polish law. Disputes are resolved by the court competent for the operator's seat. Consumers may use out-of-court dispute resolution methods (UOKiK, ODR platform).
