Terms of Service

Short version

cutty.dev is a free URL shortener. You can create short links — nobody asks why. A few things you can't do (mostly: illegal content or links that harm people). The rest is standard usage terms.

1. What cutty.dev is

An internet service at cutty.dev that lets you create short links (slugs like cutty.dev/abc) redirecting to URLs you provide. Usable anonymously (limit 30 links/h/IP) or with an account (limit 120/h, dashboard, stats, editing).

2. What you cannot do

Links on cutty.dev must not lead to:

• content illegal in Poland (CSAM, terrorism, human trafficking)
• malware, exploits, phishing, scams
• copyright-infringing content
• content inciting violence or discrimination
• spam (mass mailing without consent)
• circumvention of third-party security or geographic restrictions

Consequence: the link is permanently blocked; in serious cases — account suspension and reports to the relevant authorities.

3. Your account

• Create an account with email/PIN, Google, or Facebook
• One account per person; don't share your password
• You're responsible for everything done from your account
• We may suspend accounts without warning for serious violations
• Deleting your account: any time from the dashboard (Account → Delete account) or by emailing hello@cutty.dev. After deletion your account data is removed. Your link slugs remain blocked (so no one else can claim them), but stop redirecting.

4. Pricing

• All current features are free. With or without an account.
• Future features may require payment (see /pricing for the latest).
• Rate limits: 30 links/h per anonymous IP, 120 links/h logged in.

5. Slugs policy

• Auto-generated slugs (3+ characters, base62). Custom slugs: 3–40 characters, alphanumeric plus _ and -
• A slug NEVER returns to the pool — even after you delete its link, it stays permanently blocked, to keep our durability promise
• Reserved words (api, login, admin, etc.) are unavailable
• Some 3-character strings and slurs are rejected

6. Availability & service termination

Best-effort. No SLA guarantees. We make incident updates available at esej.space.

We may discontinue the service at any time, including without prior notice in exceptional cases (hardware failure, legal issues, personal decisions). We'll give notice when we can — but we don't guarantee a notice period. If the service shuts down with notice, you'll have time to export your data (Dashboard → Download CSV).

7. Your content

By creating a link, you confirm you have the right to direct traffic to the URL you provide and that the content of the URL doesn't violate these terms. It doesn't become our property — it stays yours; we only keep the slug → URL mapping.

8. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "AS IS". We're not liable for:

• content of the pages you link to (those are your URLs)
• data loss due to force majeure, hardware failure, attacks
• indirect damages (lost profits, data, reputation)

Maximum liability = amount paid for service in the last 12 months (zero on the free plan).

9. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms. For material changes, we'll notify signed-in users by email before they take effect. If you don't agree — delete your account.

10. Governing law

Polish law. Disputes are resolved by the court competent for the operator's registered seat. Consumers may also use out-of-court dispute resolution (UOKiK, ODR platform).
