Welcome to the cutty.dev blog
First post. What we'll write here and how often — and where to find us outside the blog.
Hi. This is cutty.dev — a project where I’m trying to build a link shortener I’d actually want to use myself: simple, fast, no hidden tricks. If you’re here for the first time — paste a long URL, get a short one, done.
This blog is an extra. A place where, every now and then, I’ll write something that doesn’t fit into a feature description.
What you’ll find here
Plans are modest. A bit on how to use cutty.dev (QR codes, password-protected links, click statistics — what they do and when they’re useful). A bit on what I just shipped — new features, small improvements, sometimes a comment on “why this way, not the other”.
No strict schedule. No topics picked “for SEO”. If something’s worth writing, I’ll write it. If not, I won’t.
Every post written for a regular person. No jargon. No list of 47 features “the competition doesn’t have”. Just — what works, how it works, who it’s for.
Who’s behind it
This project is run by one person — me. I work under the name esejowsky (you’ll find me at esej.space). No team, no investors, no marketing department.
That means:
- I reply to emails personally, usually the same day
- I make product decisions alone, so they’re fast
- I’m not chasing growth metrics — I want a tool that works for those who use it
Where to find us beyond the blog
- The site: cutty.dev — there’s everything you need to get started
- Documentation: cutty.dev/en/docs — features in detail
- Email: hello@cutty.dev — for anything that doesn’t fit the form
Want to know when something new shows up here? There’s no newsletter yet — for now, bookmark the page or check back from time to time.
Thanks for being here.
